    Fire Hunter

    Hey guys.

I was wondering if fire/hunter would be a viable comp in 2's. Or would it be complete shit?

Also mabey one of the contributors could make some vids on this?

Ps. Why are hunters so fucking hard to kill :x

    Cheers

They actually wouldn't be that viable because most of their important CCs/silence share a DR

    - Freezing Trap/Wyvern Sting and RoF/Polymorph
    - Scatter Shot and Dragon's Breath
    - Pin and Imp CoC/Frost Nova
    - Silencing Shot and Imp CS

Generally you want to make an optimal team by having classes that share litttle DRs on important abilities.

Pyro definitely has it right about the DR problems and that will really break the comp. It's also important to consider that fire mage and hunter damage are completly different. Hunter damage is very bursty while their sustained damage kinda sucks. Fire mages on the other hand have very good sustained damage but their burst is not so great.

would frost be more viable or will it be almost as bad as fire?

Frost would be just as bad, maybe a little better but there's a lot stronger comps. Fire mages are best with healers to be honest or boomkins. Other hybrids wouldn't be quite as good though because they don't have as many HoTs. Boomkins can peel off you with entangling roots + solar beam, pillar, pop into human form, then HoT you up for a few globals and jump right back in. This results in minimal DPS loss while still keeping you up. Paladins, priests, and shamans sacrifice a good amount of damage if they take the time to heal you well.
