Helmet: Arcanum of Vicious Intellect
Shoulders: Greater Inscription of Vicious Intellect
Cloak: Lightweave Embroidery
Chest: Mighty Resilience or Peerless Stats
Bracers: Mighty Intellect

Your helmet and shoulders enchants will be purchasable through PvP content using honor. Any additional enchants can be purchased on the Auction House. Since it is recommended to use Tailoring as one of your primary professions in Cataclysm, make sure to enchant Lightweave Embroidery on your Cloak for increased Intellect when procced. Although Ebonsteel Belt Buckle is not technically an enchant, it give you one extra gem slot for minmaxxing secondary stats.
Best Frost Mage Gems
Meta Gems: Burning Shadowspirit Diamond
Red Gems: Willful Ember Topaz, Brilliant Inferno Ruby, or Brilliant Chimera’s Eye
Blue Gems: Veiled Demonseye or Brilliant Inferno Ruby
Yellow Gems: Potent Ember Topaz, Artful Ember Topaz, or Mystic Chimera’s Eye
For meta gems, we recommend that you use Burning Shadowspirit Diamond as it will provide you with additional Intellect and increase the damage that your Critical Strike spells will deal.
There are multiple red gems you can choose from, and should be chosen based on the current gear set and secondaries you have on your character. If you want your character to have better survivability, make sure to use Willful Ember Topaz. If not, prioritize using the rest of your red gem slots on Brilliant Inferno Ruby. If you choose Jewelcrafting as one of your primary professions, make sure to use Brilliant Chimera’s Eye for the maximum amount of Intellect from a single gem.
It is preferred to use Veiled Demonseye for additional Hit Rating if you have not reached your Hit requirement. If you have reached the 4% Hit Rating requirement, use Brilliant Inferno Ruby in the rest of your blue gem slots. This is mainly due to the lack of blue gems that are provided in Cataclysm that are valuable for this specialization.
For the rest of your Yellow gem slots, this will be based on your preferred secondary stat you have chosen for your character. If you decided to go full Critical Strike, use Potent Ember Topaz. If you decided to go full Mastery, use Artful Ember Topaz. Also, if you chose Jewelcrafting as your primary profession as Frost Mage in Cataclysm, and you need extra survivability, prioritize using Mystic Chimera’s Eye in your Yellow gem slots instead of Brilliant Chimera’s Eye in Red gem slots.
