Human is the best Alliance race by far, allowing you to wear two damage trinkets thanks to Will to Survive. For Horde, Orc is optimal with Hardiness and Blood Fury.

RecommendedHuman is the BEST race in the entire game for many DPS. Will to Survive lets you wear two damage trinkets, which is a MASSIVE power spike since trinket procs represent huge burst windows.
Removes all movement impairing and loss of control effects. Allows you to wear two offensive trinkets instead of needing a PvP Medallion.
Expertise with Swords increased by 1%. Make sure to get the Sword if Human for the bonus Expertise.
Orc
RecommendedOrc is definitely your best Horde option. Hardiness is arguably the best racial passive in the game, and Blood Fury acts as a pseudo on-use trinket.
Duration of Stun effects reduced by 15%. This even stacks with similar effects like the Powerful Primal Diamond meta gem.
Increases attack power for 15 seconds. Acts as a huge power spike and pseudo on-use trinket.
Expertise with Axes increased by 1%. Make sure to get the Axe if Orc for the bonus Expertise.
