Retribution Paladin
Ret Paladin is a TRUE support spec in MoP. You have a TON of responsibilities as a hybrid DPS, ranging from off-healing to dispelling, all while finding brief moments to play offensive with CC and damage. MoP gives Paladins two charges of Hand spells via Clemency, plus the Absolve passive turns Hand of Sacrifice into a Magic Dispel.

Strengths

Weaknesses
- ✗Very limited mobility compared to other melee
- ✗Requires excellent awareness to maximize support potential

- ✗Must balance damage, healing, and dispelling responsibilities
Key Abilities
Human is THE best race for Ret Paladin. Will to Survive lets you wear two damage trinkets, which is a REALLY big deal since trinket procs represent a MASSIVE power spike during Avenging Wrath.
Blood Elf is your best Horde option. Arcane Torrent acts as an AoE silence in MoP, which is very convenient for stopping casts or as micro CC when going for a kill.
Strength is your #1 priority since it affects EVERYTHING we do - damage AND healing.
Then reach the 3% Hit cap and 3% Expertise soft cap. Since most of our damage is spell-based, we don't need to reach the 6% Expertise benchmark.
After caps, prioritize Haste. Thanks to Sanctity of Battle, Haste reduces the cooldown of many Holy Power generators, allowing us to deal MORE damage or heal more often.
Then get as much Crit as possible, with Mastery being our least desirable stat. Reforge Mastery into Haste or Crit wherever possible.
