SV/MM Hunter TBC Classic PvP Talent Builds

This is the most popular Hunter PvP build, combining the best of both Marksmanship and Survival trees. With 26 points in Marksmanship and 35 in Survival, you get the best of both worlds.

From Marksmanship, you get Aimed Shot for a 50% healing reduction and Scatter Shot which is essential for landing traps. Improved Stings makes your Viper Sting 30% harder to dispel, punishing healers who try to cleanse it.

From Survival, Hawk Eye increases your range by 6 yards - crucial for outranging casters. Entrapment and Improved Wing Clip help you kite melee. Deterrence provides a rare defensive cooldown. Surefooted gives 3% hit which is essential since gear lacks hit in Season 1. Finally, Wyvern Sting is a 10-second sleep for devastating CC chains.

This build goes deep into Marksmanship to pick up Silencing Shot, a 3-second ranged interrupt on a 20-second cooldown. This gives you much more control against casters.

The trade-off is losing Wyvern Sting and some Survival talents. This build becomes more viable in later seasons when gear provides enough hit rating to compensate for losing Surefooted.

Consider this build when facing heavy caster compositions where the interrupt value outweighs the CC from Wyvern Sting.
