Subtlety Rogue TBC Classic PvP Talent Builds

This is the recommended arena build for Subtlety Rogues in TBC. While most talents are straightforward, several key talents define how you play:

Ghostly Strike is a versatile ability that grants dodge chance to avoid incoming attacks like Bash, or can be used offensively for damage when forcing cooldowns or securing kills.

Hemorrhage is your primary combo point builder and where most of your energy goes. You'll also use Shiv to generate combo points and maintain poisons.

Preparation is insane for both offensive and defensive play. Use it early to chain vanishes and overwhelm opponents, or save it defensively to reset Evasion and Vanish.

Shadowstep enables incredible plays - from sticking to targets and escaping, to clutch cross-CC plays like step-kicking a healer to secure kills.

Cheat Death scales with resilience, becoming more reliable as the season progresses and gear levels increase.

This variant swaps Vile Poisons for Improved Poisons when you're not facing many Druids (who can dispel poisons). If you're primarily facing Priests as healers, this provides more value from your poison talents.

In later seasons as gear levels rise, you can take two points out of Lethality and put them into Improved Expose Armor. This isn't necessary at the start of Season 1 but becomes valuable as the expansion progresses.
