Why Windwalker Monk?
Windwalker Monk is a jack of all trades. This spec is almost like a hybrid between an Arms Warrior and a Subtlety Rogue. On one side you have strong, consistent damage, and on the other you have powerful, punchy burst.
This damage comes with tons of control, including Paralysis, which has a 15 second cooldown in Mists in Pandaria. Not to mention, Monks have two stuns coming out of Leg Sweep and Fists of Fury. There is a lot you can do to control the game.
Another unique ability tied to Windwalker Monk is Tigereye Brew. This is your primary damage cooldown and helps you control the timing of your burst. Unlike other burst cooldowns, Tigereye Brew is a buff you build over time and can consume later on. You can consume all 10 stacks at once for massive damage, or you could space out your stacks by consuming 5 in shorter time intervals.
You also have the ability to spread out your damage thanks to Storm, Earth, and Fire. This ability allows you to summon up to 2 clones of yourself that mirror your attacks on targets. You can gradually rot down one target while focusing another, which opens up the ability to seamlessly swap.
Overall there’s a lot of decisions you can make as a Windwalker Monk with tons of min-maxxing at your disposal. This might be considered one of the best specializations in the entire expansion, and with it requires a massive learning curve in order for you to excel in PvP combat.
