Elemental Shaman Stat Priority
Intellect > 6% Hit Rating > Haste > Mastery > Critical Strike
Prioritize Intellect as much as possible, The more Intellect you have, the more Spell Power you will have, buffing all your abilities. After focusing on Intellect, make sure to have at least 6% Hit Rating first before focusing on your secondary stats. This makes sure that none of your abilities miss while attacking your opponent.
For our secondary stats you’ll want Haste to be at top priority. Not only does Haste reduce your global cooldown, but provides you with more periodic DoT ticks from Flame Shock, which in turn gives you more Lava Surge procs.
Mastery grants Elemental Shamans Elemental Overload, to which you will be duplicating Lava Burst the most. Having a decent amount of this secondary stat increases the probability of stronger direct burst.
Critical Strike is your lowest preferred stat and should be avoided during your gearing process.
Thankfully, PvP has two new stats engrained on all PvP gear. These two are PvP Resilience and PvP Power.
PvP Resilence is identical to its predecessor, Resilience, as it reduces incoming damage from enemy players. PvP Power, on the other hand, is a completely new stat that makes our healing and damage stronger to other players. These two will naturally apply as you gearing, meaning you don’t have to worry about min-maxxing these stats.
