Restoration Shaman Stat Priority
Intellect > Critical Strike > Spirit > Mastery > Haste
First and foremost, Intellect is the most important stat as a Restoration Shaman since it will increase all downstream healing.
Next up we have our secondary stats, to which Critical Strike is the best secondary stat available. Critical Strike not only makes our single-target healing better thanks to Ancestral Awakening, but synergizes nicely with Resurgence for an easier time conserving mana.
Followed by Critical Strike is Spirit, which may be difficult to come by in the beginning of an expansion. Mana becomes an issue in longer, drawn out games, making it important to obtain a decent amount of this stat in order to stay ahead.
Then, we want to focus on Mastery as this stat buffs healing on lower health targets. Combining a solid balance of Mastery and Critical Strike makes it easy to recover and top health bars. Haste though is our least desirable stat and should be avoided during our gearing process.
Thankfully, PvP has two new stats engrained on all PvP gear. These two are PvP Resilience and PvP Power.
PvP Resilence is identical to its predecessor, Resilience, as it reduces incoming damage from enemy players. PvP Power, on the other hand, is a completely new stat that makes our healing and damage stronger to other players. These two will naturally apply as you gearing, meaning you don’t have to worry about min-maxxing these stats.
When reforging, you can convert some stats for more Spirit to obtain more mana regeneration, or for more Critical Strike for more direct healing and better mana conservation. Most of the time you will stick to your current stats without needing to reforge much.

A new expansion offers new possibilities to learn different information that has been added, changed, or removed in the game. Our Skill Capped Guide will provide you with that information at ease through our specialized premium courses. Consult with the best PvP players with years of PvP competitive experience. They will teach you how to be ahead of the composition. Sign up today for a 5% discount and jumpstart your Mists of Pandaria PvP climb with a +400 rating guarantee.
