Best Restoration Shaman PvP Talents

This new talent system is dramatically different from our original Cataclysm talents. Now players are given way less options in terms of talent selection, and can even change their talents in the starting gate using Tome of the Clear Mind.

Here we have your default talents for Restoration Shaman. Let’s break down why these talents are so promising in MoP, and any alternatives you can select depending on the composition played or up against.

Hard-Locked Talents:

Nature’s Guardian gives you an auto-proc self heal that can trigger while stunned. Although Astral Shift may be tempting, having a 30 second internal cooldown on this ability is too good to pass up on.
Windwalk Totem for that AoE freedom effect we can apply to our entire team. This can be used to help with uptime or to kite away from your opponents.
Ancestral Swiftness as our classic ‘NS’ instant heal cooldown, and is necessary to help us bail out of stressful situations.
Rushing Streams makes our Healing Stream Totem passively stronger, and since Healing Stream Totem outputs a considerable amount of healing in MoP this is a no-brainer pickup.
Unleashed Fury greatly enhances Unleash Elements, adding a massive 50% modifier to our next heal. This is super important for our burst and sustain healing.

Soft-Locked Talents & Alternatives:

Call of the Elements resets a majority of our totems once used.
Alternative: Totemic Projection if we expect to be the kill target.

These two abilities listed above are a huge learning curve for Restoration Shaman, to which we have videos on our website dedicated to these talents in particular to help you gain a competitive advantage in the arena.
