Best Shadow Priest PvP Glyphs
The glyph system has changed quite a bit in Mists of Pandaria as opposed to its Cataclysm counterpart. The most noticeable change being the removal of Prime Glyphs, meaning players will be limited to 3 Major and 3 Minor Glyph slots.
Tome of the Clear Mind will be needed to swap out any glyph from its respective glyph slot. You’ll definitely want to hold on to some of those, since some glyphs may be swapped depending on a certain arena matchup.
Major Glyphs
These major glyphs provided below are your primary glyphs within your major glyph slots. Glyph of Fade is your hard-locked major glyph you should never swap out of. Glyph of Inner Fire and Glyph of Inner Sanctum, on the other hand, should constantly alternate in the same glyph slot depending on the matchup at hand. This leaves our third major glyph slot open to any flexible major glyphs listed below.
Glyph of Fade adds a 10% damage reduction to this spell, which is great since you’re commonly the kill target.
Glyph of Inner Fire should be picked as long as there is a melee on the enemy team.
Glyph of Inner Sanctum should replace Glyph of Inner Fire if you’re playing into double casters.
As for our flexible major glyphs, these listed below are situationally strong depending on the circumstance. You’ll be constantly switching in and out of these glyphs as you play.
Glyph of Prayer of Mending makes it easier to off-heal.
Glyph of Mass Dispel is best against Mages and Paladins in order to remove Ice Block and Divine Shield.
Minor Glyphs
All minor glyphs given to Shadow Priest are purely cosmetic and give no advantage to players in a competitive setting.
