Horde

Tauren

Unfortunately, as Horde, your options when it comes to race are quite limited. Most racial abilities aren’t that impactful in PvP. This leaves us with Tauren being the best option in fast-paced metas. War Stomp is very strong when kills can happen in an instant. Whenever burst damage is high, a 1-second stun following up your Hammer of Justice or even a random 2-second AoE stun out of nowhere timed with Avenging Wrath can be enough to take someone down.

Alliance

Human

Out of all the race options, Human is the most versatile one and tends to be the best overall race for Ret Paladin. The old Relentless trinket is now provided as part of the two PvP trinket bonus. This opens up the option for playing with two offensive trinkets or a combination of both offensive and defensive, while still having access to a stun-removal with Will to Survive.

And if you wanted to have a way to break out of stuns every 90 seconds, you can do that by playing with a Medallion. This versatility is what makes human so good in Dragonflight.

Dark Iron Dwarf

Your other option is going for Dark Iron Dwarf. Despite Feral Druid and Assassination Rogue falling off in the meta, Fireblood is still an excellent cooldown for both offence and defence.
