Havoc Demon Hunter Stat Priority

Versatility > Mastery > Haste > Critical Strike

Our main focus should be on Versatility. Versatility adds a combination of both offense and defense to our character, which is naturally obtained through our gearing process.

Beyond this stat, you’ll want to prioritize Mastery. This stat increases our movement speed and Chaos damage.

After Mastery, Haste is also pretty important to have, as it synergizes nicely with our Shattered Destiny and Cycle of Hatred combo to increase our uptime in Demon Form.

Finally, we have Critical Strike being our weakest stat out of the bunch, as this doesn’t really synergize with what our toolkit currently offers.

When it comes to trinkets, we will be equipping Astral Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity. Since it constantly procs for a solid amount of primary stat, this can greatly help with our consistent throughput.

You will then need an Astral Gladiator’s Medallion to break out of CC every 2 minutes.

An alternative trinket from Astral Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity is Astral Gladiator’s Emblem, as this will assist us with surviving massive burst windows. This can be potentially valuable against setup compositions, such as RMP or Jungle Cleave. However, this specialization needs the extra primary stat coming out of our Insignia trinket, granting us enough finishing power to secure wins.

Best Havoc Demon Hunter Embellishments

Item 1: Elemental Focusing Lens on any crafted piece.
Item 2: Elemental Focusing Lens on any crafted piece.

The Elemental Focusing Lens embellishment provides us with the most consistent throughput, and is only effective as long as you have at least 1 gem equipped.

This embellishment occasionally deals damage from a specific school of magic based on the gem you equip. Keep in mind that the damage from this embellishment can’t be buffed by cooldowns, talents, or any damage bonuses from school types.

Best Havoc Demon Hunter Gems

Core Gems: Enduring Bloodstone + Versatile Onyx
Core Fiber: Pure Dexterous Fiber

In The War Within, you will use a Vicious Jeweler’s Setting to add sockets to your Helmet, Neck, Bracers, Belt and Rings. Two sockets can be added to the Neck and Rings.

As Versatility and Mastery are your best secondary stats, you will want to both gem and enchant it wherever possible. Enduring Bloodstone will be our newly introduced PvP gem that can only be attributed once onto your character’s gem slots. This will give you some additional damage reduction when affected by Crowd Control.

For all gem slots, we will use Versatile Onyx, as this provides the best overall boost to your favored stats.

As of now, we notice a majority of players currently using the new Reshii Wraps cloak introduced from the 11.2.0 patch. This new piece of gear requires a fiber socket to which we suggest opting for the Pure Dexterous Fiber to best suit our stat priority.
