Table of Contents

Beast Mastery Hunter Stat Priority

Versatility > Haste > Mastery > Crit

You want to focus on getting as much Versatility as possible, up to 30%. This will happen automatically through Conquest gear, since most of your items will have Vers on them. Generally, you will want a 70-30 split between haste and mastery.

After that, you will prioritize Haste. It not only increases your Focus regeneration, provides with shorter GCD and increases your attack speed, but also reduces the cooldown of both Kill Command and Barbed Shot.

Mastery and Critical Strike are worse overall compared to Haste, but are still valuable stats. Out of the two, however, Mastery takes a marginal lead. Because there are limited sources of Mastery from actual gear, we will be using Mastery Enchants and Gems wherever possible to balance out Haste slightly.

Best Beast Mastery Hunter Trinkets

Gladiator’s Medallion
Insignia of Alacrity / Gladiator’s Emblem

For trinkets, we recommend that you always use Medallion if you are not playing Human. It has been mandatory in PvP for years, and will remain so in Dragonflight.

When it comes to the second trinket, you have two options: offensive and defensive. The best offensive trinket will be the Insignia. It gives us a huge passive increase to our best stat in addition to a very strong main stat proc. As for defensive, Emblem is great for providing you with an extra defensive CD for some tricky matchups.

As a Human, however, you have a few more options. You should still play Insignia as the best offensive trinket, but then you can go for double-offensive combination with the Badge, or even pair it with Emblem or Gladiator’s Medallion depending on the matchup at hand.

Best Beast Mastery Hunter Enchants

Cloak: Homebound Speed
Chest: Accelerated Agility
Bracers: Devotion of Speed
Legs: Fierce Armor Kit
Boots: Plainsrunner’s Breeze
Rings: Devotion of Mastery
Weapon: High Intensity Thermal Scanner

Best Beast Mastery Hunter Gems

Keen Neltharite + Skillful Illimited Diamond

We will be using Tiered Medallion Setting to get an additional gem slot in your neck. One a reasonable amount of Versatility has been reached (~30%), you should fill out any stat voids with a mix of Haste and Mastery gems.
