Frost Death Knight Stat Priority

Versatility > Mastery > Haste > Critical Strike

You want to start by getting as much Versatility as you can. This will be a bit hard to do since you want to use your PvE tier set for the 4-piece bonus, and it doesn’t have a lot of Vers.

Then you will go for Mastery, which is a very consistent stat for Frost. It buffs your Frost damage which is nearly all of your burst during Pillar of Frost which is what Frost relies on to win games.

Recommended Embellishments

Tier pieces:
Hands: Thorns of the Risen Nightmare
Helm: Piercing Gaze of the Risen Nightmare
Shoulders: Skewers of the Risen Nightmare
Legs: Greaves of the Risen Nightmare

Embellishments:

Item 1: Elemental Lariat
Item 2: Infurious Warboots

Best Frost Death Knight Trinkets

Gladiator’s Medallion + Badge or Gladiator’s Emblem

The main difference in trinkets is the race you are playing. As Human, you may not need the Medallion, which is mandatory for all other races. Despite this, we still recommend playing with a Medallion no matter what as this can be paired with Anti-Magic Zone or other important cooldowns. As for your other trinkets, Badge is default since Pillar of Frost provides a %str bonus and multiplies this effect.

As for a defensive option, Gladiator’s Emblem can be played in place of Badge. It can help you survive burst damage, while buffing your self-healing spells. It’s great in any situation where you need to live at all costs. This should only be played when you are having extreme difficulty to survive as playing without badge is going against your win condition.

Best Frost Death Knight Enchants

Cloak: Homebound Speed
Chest: Sustained Strength
Bracers: Devotion of Speed
Belt: Shadowed Belt Clasp
Legs: Fierce Armor Kit
Boots: Watcher’s Loam
Rings: Devotion of Mastery
Weapon: Rune of Razorice

Best Frost Death Knight Gems

Resplendent Illimited Diamond + Zen Neltharite.

Since Versatility is our best secondary stat, we will be enchanting and gemming it wherever possible, while making sure to maximize our Mastery. You should use gems to balance out your stats as needed.
