In this section, we will cover the biggest changes to the design of Subtlety Rogue in Dragonflight and some of their playstyle implications. Obviously, the main driving force for all adjustments this expansion comes from talents, and we will dive deeper into them a bit later. For now, let’s focus on the bigger picture.

What’s New for Subtlety Rogue in Dragonflight?

Secret Technique is now the star of the Subtlety Rogue burst rotation. Without a Trace is also a new addition that provides two charges of Vanish. This pairs nicely with Invigorating Shadowdust which was a legendary from Shadowlands. This reduces the CD on all of your abilities with Vanish allowing Blind to now be offset with enemy trinkets.

Subtlety Rogue Playstyle in Dragonflight

Coming into Dragonflight, Subtlety Rogue will feel familiar. The main change is that our burst is now heavily focused around the use of Secret Technique. This allows for more burst during the go compared to Eviscerate. Other than Secret Technique, Subtlety Rogues play similar to Shadowlands in that you are constantly looking for restealths and playing around your Stun DRs with Shadow Dance.
