Table of Contents

Subtlety Rogue Stat Priority

Versatility > Mastery > Critical Strike > Haste

You want to focus on getting as much Versatility as possible, even going past the softcap of 30%.

After that, you will prioritize Mastery. It now provides mathematically the biggest DPS increase. Subtlety is a burst-oriented class and your mastery makes all of your finishers stronger. There is not really a reason to target any other stat due to the class being so reliant on the go to kill.

Recommended Tier and Embellishments

Tier pieces:
Subtlety Rogue will only use two set.

Chest: Lurking Specter’s Brigandine
Legs: Lurking Specter’s Tights

Embellishments:
Item 1: Infurious Footwraps of Indemnity
Item 2: Life-Bound Cap crafted with Blue Silken Lining, Versatility, and Mastery

Best Subtlety Rogue Trinkets

Badge / Gladiator’s Emblem
Gladiator’s Medallion

For trinkets, we recommend that you always use a Medallion. It has been mandatory in PvP for years, and will remain so in Dragonflight.

As for your second trinket, you should default to Badge. This provides on-demand burst which is what Subtlety wants. Emblem can be used over Badge in match-ups where you are struggling to survive.

Best Subtlety Rogue Enchants

Cloak: Homebound Speed
Chest: Waking Stats
Bracers: Devotion of Speed
Legs: Fierce Armor Kit
Boots: Plainsrunner’s Breeze
Rings: Devotion of Versatility
Weapon: Sophic Devotion + Sophic Devotion

Best Subtlety Rogue Gems

Zen Neltharite + Resplendent Illimited Diamond

As Versatility is your best secondary stat, you will want to both gem and enchant it wherever possible. You will be using Tiered Medallion Setting to get an additional gem slot in your Neck.
